Sheikh Dr. Ahmed Almasarawi is an Egyptian sheikh of the “Umum Al-Maqarii.” He learned the Quran by heart when he was only 10 years old. Later, he left Cairo and joined the Institute of Shubra Al-Azhari Balkhazindarh for readings. There he met and gained knowledge from sheikhs and senior scientists. In 1980, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Islamic and Arabic Studies, and he became a faculty member of Islamic Studies in Al-Azhar University. He later continued his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Hadith and its sciences in Saudi Arabia where he graduated as valedictorian. He then became a test Committee member of the Egyptian Radio and Television in 1999 and became the Chairman of the Committee review of the Quran in the Islamic Research Academy.
